RetroRealms Network Rules

1. Respect All Players

• No Harassment or Bullying: Treat all players with respect. Harassment, bullying, or any form of targeted abuse will not be tolerated.

• No Discrimination: Discriminatory behavior, including racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of bigotry, is strictly prohibited.

• No Toxicity or Flaming: Avoid offensive or insulting language directed at other players. Keep the community friendly and welcoming for all.

2. No Cheating or Exploiting

• No Hacked Clients: Using third-party software, mods, or clients to gain an unfair advantage, such as auto-clickers, aimbots, or speed hacks, is strictly forbidden.

• No Exploiting Bugs: If you find a bug or exploit, report it to the staff immediately. Using bugs to gain unfair advantages is prohibited.

• No Duplication Glitches: Exploiting duplication glitches to duplicate items or resources is not allowed.

3. No Griefing

• No Destroying Others' Builds: Griefing (destroying or modifying another player’s property without permission) is not allowed.

• No Traps: Trapping players in areas where they cannot escape or survive is prohibited.

• No World Destruction: Any attempt to destroy or significantly damage server world structures, including spawn areas, builds, or public spaces, will result in consequences.

4. No Spamming

• No Excessive Chat Spam: Spamming the chat with repeated messages, links, or irrelevant text is not allowed.

• No Advertising: Do not advertise other Minecraft servers, websites, or external products in the chat without permission.

• No Flooding: Flooding the chat with excessive commands, emotes, or non-stop messages to distract other players or staff is prohibited.

5. No Griefing or Raiding

• No Raiding: Raiding other players' bases or locations to steal their items, destroy their builds, or cause harm is not allowed unless in designated PvP zones.

• Respect Protected Builds: Do not attempt to break, enter, or steal from any protected builds or plots, including those protected by the server’s protection plugin or system.

6. No Impersonation

• No Impersonating Staff: Impersonating server staff, or pretending to be a server admin or owner, is prohibited.

• No Falsely Claiming Ownership: Do not claim that you own the server or falsely advertise ownership when it is not true.

7. No Inappropriate Content

• No NSFW Content: Posting or sharing inappropriate content such as explicit images, links, or offensive material is strictly prohibited.

• No Offensive Skins: Player skins should not be offensive or inappropriate. Skins with discriminatory symbols or offensive content will be removed.

• No Inappropriate Names: Players must not use inappropriate usernames, including offensive or vulgar words.

8. Follow the Server's Intended Gameplay

• No AFK Farming: AFK (away from keyboard) farming or automatic item generation is not allowed if it is against the server rules.

• Respect Server Economy: Do not exploit the server's economy by using illegal means to farm, duplicate, or hoard items for personal gain.

• No Abusive Trade Practices: Scamming or tricking other players in trades, auctions, or market systems will not be tolerated.

9. Respect Server Staff

• Obey Staff Instructions: Always listen to and respect staff members when they are giving instructions or enforcing rules.

• No Arguing with Staff: Do not argue with staff members, especially regarding punishments or decisions. If you disagree, contact them privately or use the appeal process.

• Report Issues Respectfully: If you have an issue with a player or situation, report it respectfully to the staff through the appropriate channels (e.g., Discord or ticket system).

10. No Illegal Activity

• Follow Legal Standards: Any illegal activity such as hacking, phishing, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to the server or other players' accounts will result in an immediate ban.

• No Copyright Infringement: Players are not allowed to upload or share any content that infringes on someone else's intellectual property rights, such as copyrighted music or videos.

11. Respect Privacy

• No Doxxing: Sharing personal information about others, such as real names, addresses, or private contact information, without consent, is prohibited.

• No Stalking or Spying: Using any means to stalk, track, or invade another player's privacy is against the rules.

12. No Excessive PvP (Player vs Player)

• PvP Rules: Unless otherwise stated by the server (e.g., in a PvP zone or PvP event), avoid engaging in combat with players who do not want to participate in PvP.

• No Spawn Killing: Do not kill players as they spawn unless the server allows it in specific areas like designated PvP zones or events.

13. No Farming or Boosting

• No Farming or Boosting Stats: Using alternate accounts, bots, or friends to artificially inflate your stats, economy, or server progress is against the rules.

• No Unfair Levelling: Using external methods or assistance to unfairly level up or gain resources will result in penalties.

14. Ban Evasion

• No Ban Evasion: If you are banned from the server, you must not attempt to bypass your ban by using an alternate account or other methods.

15. General Server Etiquette

• No Disruptive Behaviour: Keep the server environment clean and respectful. Do not intentionally disrupt gameplay, cause unnecessary lag, or sabotage the server.

• Be Positive: We encourage friendly competition, cooperation, and a positive attitude in the community. Keep the vibe friendly and fun for everyone.

Consequences of Violating the Rules

• Warnings: Players who violate minor rules will be given a warning and reminded of the rules.

• Temporary Bans: For more serious infractions, players may receive a temporary ban, with the duration depending on the severity of the violation.

• Permanent Bans: Repeated offenses or severe violations (such as cheating, harassment, or exploiting) can result in a permanent ban from the server.

• Appeals Process: Players who have been banned can submit a ban appeal to the staff team for review. All appeals will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
